Overview

The PN532 NFC Module is a highly integrated contactless communication interface module that operates at 13.56 MHz, based on the NXP PN532 chipset.
It supports multiple communication modes including NFC-A (ISO 14443A), NFC-B, and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) communication.

This module allows reading and writing RFID/NFC cards (such as Mifare 1K, NTAG, or ISO14443 cards) and can also act as an NFC target for smartphones.
The PN532 supports multiple interfaces — I²C, SPI, and UART (Serial) — making it compatible with Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi boards for flexible integration.

Connection and Interface

The PN532 module includes jumper or header pins for interface selection:

• SPI: Connects via MOSI, MISO, SCK, SS pins

• I²C: Connects via SDA, SCL pins (address 0x48)

• UART: TX/RX serial communication at 115200 bps
  An onboard switch or solder pads select the desired interface mode.
