Description
Ublox NEO-7M GPS Module HW-623 With Micro USB NEO-7M-0-000
The Ublox GY-NEO-7M-0-000 GPS Module for Arduino with Antenna is a device for tracking the location of an object where GPS is installed, sending data regarding its latitude, longitude, date, time and speed of travel.
The installation of the Ublox GY-NEO-7M GPS Module for Arduino in the vast majority of projects takes place in aerial or vehicular prototypes, where the user can track via smartphone or computer the coordinates and speed of the prototype.
Another important application that can be given is to command a robot to perform different tasks in predefined locations and times. To perform such tasks the microcontroller needs to be programmed, and it may be necessary to apply other accessories.
This module comes with a ceramic antenna and an IPEX interface to connect to other active antennas, it has a serial interface from 3.3V to 5V, ideal for working with numerous microcontrollers.
Its LED indicates its status, namely:
– Always on: normal operation, but not positioned.
– Flashing: successful positioning.
PSS pin is internally connected to the LED, indicating its status.
It can become unstable in closed times.
Using Manufacturer Software
To use the manufacturer’s software is quite simple, just download it, install your component as well as vc_redist and open it. Connect your GPS module via USB and select in the “Receiver->Connection” program and choose the wake port of the GPS connection.
With it you can check all the signals from the satellites and when you get the connection you can track the map.

Using Arduino Ublox NEO-7M-0-000 GPS Module with arduino
To use this module with the Arduino, just connect it to two digital ports and use the SoftwareSerial library to perform communications.
With the help of the TinyGPS library, we can read this data efficiently and extract information such as latitude, longitude, speed, altitude, and UTC time. In this way, we can easily integrate the GPS module into our projects and get accurate positioning and navigation readings.

Using Ublox NEO-7M-0-000 GPS Module with ESP32 30P
Follow the same steps as using the Arduino before, with the difference of powering with 3.3V and using the EspSoftwareSerial library instead of SoftwareSerial, just install and you don’t need to change anything.
